Order your City Card online, or swing by our I amsterdam Store at Amsterdam Central Station to buy one. You can pick up your City Card at our I amsterdam Store.
Activate your card
The City Card is activated at first use. So the first time you visit a museum, attraction or use public transport.
Use your card
To visit City Card locations and activities, book your time slots online, then simply show your card when visiting. Traveling by public transport is really easy with the City Card. Just scan your card when entering any bus, tram or metro.
The City Card is valid on all transport by GVB. You can recognize the GVB by their blue logo. The GVB operates the bus, tram, metro and ferry lines in Amsterdam. The night bus is also included. To check into GVB transport you hold your City Card in front of the scanner on the bus, tram or metro. When you’re getting off, hold your card in front of the scanner again to check out.
