More about the City CardYou can cancel your City Card order and get a refund at any moment by sending an email to citycard@iamsterdam.com regardless of your date of purchase.
If you’ve purchased your City Card at a reseller, please contact them about their refund policy. Each reseller has their own refund policy.
If you are unable to reach your booked timeslot, please cancel your timeslot by contacting the venue.
In order to cancel your timeslot at the Van Gogh Museum or Heineken Experience, please contact citycard@iamsterdam.com.
Please know that you cannot and do not need to add your I amsterdam City Card to the app if you have bought physical City Cards or if you have bought a City Card which needs to be exchanged in the I amsterdam store for a physical card. You can still book timeslots in the app or on our website using your card ID (starting AM04) or CC code provided in your City Card order confirmation email.
If you are trying to add a Digital City Card order to the app, you can also register it in the app by entering the CC code provided in the order confirmation email.
If you would like to change your order into a digital City Card order, please contact us at citycard@iamsterdam.com.
Train service is not included with the City Card. If you wish to travel from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to the city centre, you can buy an additional public transport ticket, like the Amsterdam & Region Travel Ticket, which can be purchased at the following locations:
If you have ordered through our website, you should have received a confirmation email with a code starting with “CC-” you can use to book timeslots. It might also be possible that the confirmation email with the code was sent to your spam folder. If you haven’t received your confirmation email after 30 minutes, please send us an email at citycard@iamsterdam.com.
You can also collect your I amsterdam City Card by showing a payment confirmation.
