Building Better Business (BBB) was co-developed to support this mission, helping mainstream businesses accelerate their social and environmental impact and prepare for certification.

BBB is a collaboration between Amsterdam Impact (the City of Amsterdam’s impact entrepreneurship initiative), B Lab Benelux, and Economy for the Common Good (ECG).

Choose Your Track

The BBB programme consists of two certification tracks: B Corp and ECG. Each track provides a structured approach to help businesses drive change and lay the foundation for certification. Choose the track that best aligns with your company’s goals.

Programme:

B Corp track: The B Corp Track offers businesses a structured pathway to initiate and advance their impact journey. Participants begin with an introduction to the B Impact Assessment (BIA) and progressively dive into the five impact pillars: Governance, Community, Customers, Environment, and Workers. Throughout the program, the B Lab Benelux team provides regular office hours to support companies in navigating their progress of measuring their impact on the BIA.

ECG track: The ECG track offers companies the opportunity to link social impact to strategic choices and sustainable growth. Economy for the Common Good (ECG) works with the Good Balancer: a 360° sustainability management tool that provides insight into progress on key impact areas of the company and prepares for a Common Good Report.

Programme Costs: Free of Charge!

The City of Amsterdam fully covers the costs of the BBB programme and programme tracks.

Participation Criteria

To join Building Better Business 2025, your company must:

Be based in the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area and registered with the Chamber of Commerce.
Be committed to formalising its social impact ambitions and transitioning to a sustainable business model.
Ensure one or more senior management members attend the entire track and are in the position to lead the potential certification process afterward.
