Next Now: A Community Built for Growth Entrepreneurs in Amsterdam Zuidoost

During the first edition, hosted by moderator Kimberly Willems, the conversation focused on entrepreneurship on an international level. In his keynote, Mattias Scheek of Mayht, who sold his revolutionary loudspeaker technology to Sonos for 100 million dollars, took the audience through his entrepreneurial journey.

What started as a fascination with their father’s subwoofers, grew into a mission for Scheek and his brother: to develop sound the way no one had ever done before. Their pursuit became perfection: the best possible sound, regardless of the time and energy required. No fewer than 7,500 prototypes preceded the unique technology that ultimately brought the brothers success.

His message: “There are plenty of examples of people doing something that has never been done before. If they can do it, so can we. Surround yourself with people who believe in it.”

Serial entrepreneur Ron Simpson and scaling specialist Mercedes de Miranda shared their insights on marketing, strategy, branding, and scaling businesses, with personal growth as the foundation for sustainable success.
