Created in 2015, StartupAmsterdam is an action programme run by the City of Amsterdam that brings the public and private sectors together to support the startups, scaleups, entrepreneurs and other players in the local ecosystem. By taking part in dozens of projects and initiatives promoting innovative and sustainable entrepreneurship, it’s helped the Dutch capital become a major player in the global scene.
To help society adjust to the ‘new normal’ in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak, a new challenge is asking people to submit ideas for thriving at a safe distance to others.
The Dutch government has announced it is making an additional €150 million available to its Corona Bridge Loan scheme for startups, scale-ups and innovative SMEs. The number of responses to the loan scheme so far has exceeded expectations, with the majority of startup and scale-up applicants coming from Amsterdam.
The event will take place online to help attendees maintain social distance while offering a look at the latest tech and new developments that are coming soon.
