tHUIS aan de AMSTEL
tHUIS aan de Amstel is an artistic café, in the former 'engineer's house' of the Zuidergasfabriek in Amsterdam East. As well as being a great place to have a drink and relax, sometimes exhibitions and jazz sessions are held here as well. Who knows, you might be lucky enough to experience one of them! But don't worry, just sitting outside in the sun is also a very nice thing to do.
Amstelkwartier Community Centre
Boeren & Buren has started an international market concept to bring local products easily and close to people. Because you place your order online, you are guaranteed fresh food, which prevents surpluses. Local entrepreneurs deliver their products every week to a fixed location in the neighborhood: dairy, bread, meat, vegetables and fruit are picked up by customers at the 'Buurderij'.
The initiative comes from the neighborhood and aims to provide everyone with tasty, local and fresh products. But also to help develop and support the agriculture of the future. Consumers, farmers and artisanal producers contribute to the emergence of a production and distribution system that is more humane, more ecological and more fair.
