Restaurant Bellezza
Eating at Bellezza is an adventure, a carousel of surprises. For one hundred and forty minutes you will be taken through the different rooms of a hidden warehouse in Amsterdam. Take a seat and let yourself be seduced by the Bellezza team.
An edible exhibition of images, music and flavours
In the heart of the Amsterdam Red Light District you will find Bellezza, the restaurant. Located in a warehouse in the courtyard of an old monastery, where herbs and spices used to be kept. Here chefs Carlos Braun and Davy van Wezel go in search of the beauty of life. The duo cooks a culinary work of art in an intimate setting every night.
Dine at a golden table
The team serves the first courses at the common golden table in the hall of mirrors, where the space changes with the courses. The images plunge below sea level and sea bass with avocado and a nice vinaigrette of black lime appear on the table.
A visual storm passes by as the red prawns with chorizo, Parmesan and fregola are served in a cloud of escabeche. Anyone who sees the colorful visual art with the dish with mushrooms and bedspread, wonders for a moment what is on the plate. At the last dish, the barbecued citron with smoked mousseline, the room is on fire.
Dessert in heaven
After 4 courses, and about 1.5 hours, the evening moves to the first floor, for dessert in heaven. The evening then continues with a digestive or cocktail in the exclusive cocktail bar, which is only accessible to restaurant guests.
Creator and owner Melcher de Wind: 'Food is the most accessible art form there is. With Bellezza we want to show - and taste - that art can exist in all forms. And can be accessible to everyone.'
With a pinch of video
The upcoming Bellezza summer menu is based on the four corners of the world. Each season, Bellezza comes with a new theme and menu, including audio and video art from other artists. This combination means that Bellezza asks for something completely new from the chefs. "Bellezza challenges us to be more creative than ever," say the chefs. 'Our ultimate challenge is to offer the art of food at the highest quality.'

Restaurant Bellezza is located in an alley on the Oudezijdse Achterburgwal in Amsterdam. To enter the alley you need to ring the bell at Restaurant Bellezza.
