Amsterdam in six words

Come to the festive presentation of the book Everything Happens in Amsterdam. More than 90 residents of shelters and participants of the daycare of HVO-Querido have contributed. They share how they experience the city, their lives and their future. Not with long stories, but in 6 words per text. This form is inspired by the famous example of writer Hemingway: For sale: baby shoes. Never worn.

Personal stories

The stories are about love, fantasy, crime or personal experiences. Sometimes with an image or title, sometimes without. Every creator has their own style.

The book is a collaboration between Art & Culture and various HVO-Querido locations and is being published in honour of 750 years of Amsterdam.
