Transforming De Pijp into a Circus

Circus around the Block turns your streets, our streets, into a stage.

This performance is inspired by De Pijp and its unique buildings, rich history, and diverse people. For a whole year, Boost has been active and present in the area. In collaboration with CC Amstel and local community centers, they uncover and create new and exciting stories.

In Circus around the Block, these stories come to life. A performance full of movement, joy, life-sized decors, and award-winning circus performers.

Circus around the Block takes place in a hidden area of De Pijp: de Tolstraat, het Cullinanplein en het Dora Tamanaplein. The route starts in the heart of the borough, near CC Amstel. This lively theater, with a passion for the circus, is one of the most vital institutions of the area.

Boost Producties

Boost Producties previously produced the enchanting walk-through-circus in the Bears van Berlage, where not a single hall was left unturned. This contemporary circus walks the line between theatre, dance and the visual arts.

The performance is suitable for all ages 8 and over. The performance is fully wheelchair accessible and non-verbal.
