Changes to RNI registration for non-EU nationals from January 2026

Effective as of January 2026, the registration for non-EU nationals under the RNI registration system will be centralised in Breda and Venlo.

This decision follows national policy introduced by the ministry and affects all RNI service desks throughout the country. As a result, RNI registrations for non-EU nationals can no longer be facilitated by IN Amsterdam.

Alternatively, it remains possible to apply for a Citizen Service Number (BSN) via the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst).
