Canal Parade

The world-famous Canal Parade on the canals of Amsterdam is one of the most memorable highlights of Pride. Spectators can watch about 80 boats representing everything from small LGBTQI+foundations to pink organisations within national multinational networks. They all cruise the city canals in elaborately decorated boats and dinghies, all of which carry the 2025 theme LOVE and to celebrate the past, present and future of the LGBTI community - and to show that it doesn't matter who or what you are.

The Kente and Fugu Festival, taking place on August 3, 2025, in Amsterdam Zuidoost, has celebrated Ghanaian culture and other African roots, including Surinamese and Caribbean influences, since 2008. With fashion, music, dance, and theater, it offers a vibrant, festive experience that unites communities.

Cycle 4 days through Amsterdam North, East, South and West. Cycle relaxed from your own neighborhood and experience the old and new Amsterdam and the beautiful rural surroundings. Grachtenfestival Amsterdam

In 2025, the Grachtenfestival will return to Amsterdam for the 28th edition. At the Grachtenfestival everything starts with music. Young musicians from all over the world surprise you with their own musical stories. With more than 95 locations, the Grachtenfestival will again be present this year in all parts of Amsterdam, with many free neighborhood concerts, but also at unique locations such as the Royal Palace on Dam Square, the ARTIS Planetarium and Fabrique des Lumières. This ensures that the Canal Festival always continues to innovate and allows visitors to (re)discover the city.

Junior Grachtenfestival

The Junior Grachtenfestival will return for it's 28th edition in 2025. You are never too young to get in touch with good music. The Grachtenfestival Junior is the perfect opportunity for this, because there is once again a packed program for the youngest visitors. Almost every day there is a concert, performance or other performance on the program. This way there is plenty of opportunity to immerse the children in music. Reggae Lake Festival

With no less than 6 stages, the Reggae Lake Festival is the largest reggae festival in the Netherlands. Damian Marley, Wayne Wonder and Jesse Royal will make the Gaasperpark unsafe for a weekend.

LatinVillage Festival

LatinVillage Festival is one day, the best music, the best vibes in Spaarnwoude Park. The ultimate Latin music festival in the Netherlands, where you can enjoy the best Latin beats, worldly vibes and an unforgettable atmosphere. On Sunday 17 August 2025 you can enjoy a mix of top artists, DJs, dance and culture. Get ready for a day full of reggaeton, salsa, bachata and more! The minimum age is 18 years.

Hartjesdag

Hartjesdag will return to the Zeedijk in August 2024 with a new edition. The Hartjesdag is a multi-day festival on the Zeedijk, one of the oldest streets in Amsterdam. On the third Monday in August, Hartjesdag was the carnival for Amsterdam and the surrounding area. Men dressed like women, and women wore men's clothes. It was the day that Amsterdammers went all out. Please note: Listed date and time for 2025 is subject to change.

SAIL-In Parade

The SAIL-In Parade opens SAIL 2025 on Wednesday 20 August. From 10:00 to 18:00 Tall Ships, naval vessels and sailing heritage will sail across the North Sea Canal to the IJhaven. A fraternizing celebration that connects visitors and crews from all over the world.

SAIL Amsterdam

SAIL Amsterdam occurs once every five years and is one of the city's largest events. The tenth edition is set to commence in August 2025. A massive fleet of large ships and various other special vessels sail across the IJ and dock near the city center. Sail 2025 coincides with two other significant anniversaries: the 50th anniversary of Sail (which was first organized in 1975) and the 750th anniversary of the city of Amsterdam. It's a triple celebration.

Sixhaven

Saluut Protocollair #SAIL2025

During the SAIL-In Parade, the Tall Ships will be festively welcomed with the Salute Protocollair. From the Sixhaven, Salute Battery Naarden will fire ceremonial cannon shots, followed by the national anthem of each incoming ship, while flags of the participating countries will be raised. A tribute to all cultures at SAIL 2025.

Pieremachocheltocht #SAIL2025

On Thursday 21 August 2025, the Pieremachocheltocht will sail through the Amsterdam canals during SAIL 2025. Imaginative vessels, from bizarre constructions to floating works of art, will sail through the canals. Live music, a competitive element and a festive award ceremony will complete the event. Participation is free, registration is required.
