Mondo Perfetto - Corpo Máquina Society
'Mondo Perfetto' is a performance by choreographer and Corpo Máquina's artistic director Guilherme Miotto. In it, Guilherme investigates how our thinking influences movement and how movement shapes the mind. Based on the idea that body, mind, soul, and space are fundamentally intertwined, he questions the possibility of seeing one of these elements separately from the other. With the simplicity of movement, he finds direction in the layered reality in which we find ourselves.

Never so close
Thoughts, intuition, intentions, imagination, movement… In Mondo Perfetto, Guilherme approaches the ingredients of our presence as vibrations. While percussionist Pedro Paixão fills the space with music by Bach live on marimba, Guilherme dances together with Julia Nielsen. The sharp edges of the boundaries with which we separate ourselves in our minds from things and from each other try to blur them. Live and tangible.
Bach compositions
In Mondo Perfetto, Pedro plays the following Bach compositions:
- Cello Suite No.1 in G major BWV 1007
- Cello Suite No.5 in C minor BWV 1011
- Chaconne from Violin Partita No.2 in D minor BWV 1004
He brings the hidden vibrations beneath these famous compositions to the surface with the marimba. The sound that vibrates in the space and the bodies of performers and audience form a common ground in which experiencing precedes understanding—an encouragement to unity.
