On Friday, June 14, urban planners and designers will discuss the history and future of the Zuidas. Did you know that a station on the south side of Amsterdam was already being considered before 1950? In the meantime, Zuid station has grown into an important hub—and it will become even bigger.

Renovated station

The station is bursting at the seams and is being completely renovated. In the future, international trains will also stop here. To make this possible, the A10 motorway is being constructed underground in the middle of Zuidas. That will take at least another 10 years. In the meantime, people must continue to live, work, and live there happily. During this meeting, you will hear how designers consider this and what role sustainability and climate play in this.
