When the Hulscher brothers opened a new beer house on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal in 1870, no one could have imagined how far the old Heineken Brewery would come. From its beginnings as a local brewery, Die Port van Cleve has proven itself in the heart of Amsterdam. Now they are celebrating 155 years of history and you can be a part of it.

Toasting in Bar-Bodega De Blauwe Parade

After the takeover by the Hulscher brothers, Die Port van Cleve was known for its steaks in 'Brasserie De Poort' (now Restaurant Hulscher's). What most do not know is that Die Port van Cleve also has a Bar-Bodega, with an authentic interior from 1888, finished with the largest Delft blue tile tableau in the world.
