Grote or St. Laurenskerk

This beautiful church – also popularly known as the Grote Kerk – was built around 1450 as a cruciform church and is considered the oldest building in Weesp. In the church tower hangs a carillon by the Hemony brothers from Amsterdam. This 17th-century chime still plays every 15 minutes.

Right in the centre of Weesp

There is a church service every Sunday morning at 10:00. In addition, other celebrations and activities are regularly held. For youth and young people aged 12-18, these include the Church Site celebrations. Read the contents of the agenda here.

Childcare for the children

The church provides a babysitting service. Children up to 4 years old can be taken to the babysitting service before the service in the room on the ground floor of Het Lichthuis and can be picked up there after the service. There is a children's service in 1 group for youth up to and including group 8.
