Realm of Possibilities: A Magical Experience

Rijk der Mogelijkheden shows the joint works of artist duo Van Veen & Mus and their son Jip Mus. This impressive exhibition revolves around the boundless world of imagination and nature and explores how art can be a gateway to hidden worlds and new perspectives on our environment.

Step into a "realm" where microscopic details merge with vast landscapes and dreamlike dioramas, and discover the beauty, fragility and secrets of nature. The exhibition invites us to reimagine the possibilities of nature and to reconsider our relationship with it.

Jip Mus

Jip Mus is a filmmaker, photographer and artist based in Amsterdam. He studied cinematography at RITCS in Brussels and works with renowned brands such as Cartier, Iris van Herpen, Huawei, Adobe and Rolls Royce.

In his personal work, Jip explores the connection between nature and science. He uses microscopes and macro lenses to magnify the smallest details into abstract, dreamlike worlds. His lens travels over immense natural areas, from the icy plains of Spitsbergen to the mountain ranges of Nepal, revealing the connections between micro and macro levels in nature.

Van Veen & Mus

Anke and Dik Mus (Van Veen & Mus) draw inspiration from 19th century techniques such as Pepper's ghost projections and museum dioramas. Using photography, 3D software and handmade dioramas, they create impressive installations that bring together the physical and digital worlds.

Their studio, Dutch Igloo, has produced installations for museums such as the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam, Naturalis in Leiden and Qasr al Hosn in Abu Dhabi. Their free work is part of collections in Amsterdam, Paris, London and Rabat.

With their project Creating Wilderness they investigate the changing relationship between humans and nature. In their recent work they create their own "wilderness" both physically and digitally and ask questions about control, ideology and the meaning of nature.
