A unique film festival where (inter)national catchy 'human interest' documentaries and feature films are shown, with a broad fringe program consisting of various discussions, with panel members of social-societal organizations. The Humans of Film Festival is a niche in the Dutch film landscape.

The Dam tot Damloop is the largest running event in the Netherlands. Every year, about 35,000 people run 10 miles (16.1 km) from the heart of Amsterdam to Zaandam. The Damloop by night and Dam tot Damloop are always held in the penultimate weekend in September. The 39th edition of the Dam tot Damloop will start in 2025. Seasonal Quartet New European Ensemble and Ali Smith

New European Ensemble enjoys telling musical stories enriched with film, literature, theatre or dance. For this concert, four female composers will compose new music, inspired by the four novels Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer by the internationally acclaimed Scottish author Ali Smith. In her books, Smith reflects on her personal reality – from Brexit to climate change, and from migration to feminism. During the performance, Smith will read excerpts from her work.

Wonderland Collectief - Umi (6-18 months)

Nothing is as mysterious and fascinating as the ocean. A world of unlimited possibilities, about which we humans still do not know everything. In the interactive performance Umi, babies and (grand)parents or caregivers dive together into a stimulating world of sound, color and movement, which is different every time. A magical journey in which every child experiences their own adventure.

Museumplein Polo Amsterdam

Museumplein gets turned over to horses and riders during this special sporting weekend. As well as the international polo matches taking place on all three days, look out for special showcases and performances. For the Ambacht in Beeld Festival 2025, we will once again transform the NDSM Loods in Amsterdam into a huge craft workshop on September 27 and 28, where craftsmen from all over the world share their passion with a wide audience.  Since 2013, the Ambacht in Beeld Festival has grown into the national festival where young and old come together to experience the pleasure of making and the beauty of crafts.

Σtella

Greek singer-songwriter Σtella weaves a world in her mix of Mediterranean folk-pop and psych-rock where you can feel the warm sea air. This is especially palpable on the idiosyncratic, vibrant debut 'The Break' and the more cinematic coastal scenes of the most recent 'Up And Away', where she continues to find ways to complement traditional Greek instruments like the bouzouki with modern influences. With the latter album, Σtella reached a milestone: she became the first Greek artist to sign with the legendary indie label Sub Pop.

Camera Japan Festival

CAMERA JAPAN Festival has grown into the largest Japanese film festival in the Benelux and attracts thousands of visitors every year.  The festival is characterized by a very diverse program: in addition to feature films, documentaries and anime, attention is also paid to the many aspects of Japanese culture, including visual arts, music, dance and food. The festival will return to LAB111 in October 2025.

In Ghanaian Akan mythology, Santrofi is a very rare, brightly coloured bird with four wings. It symbolizes prosperity, beauty and the power of song. It is therefore not surprising that the band Santrofi has attached their name to this. Santrofi makes vintage highlife, funk and afrobeat and is a collective of well-known young musicians from the Ghanaian music world.

In under two years, Vincent van Gogh made 26 portraits of members of a single family. A special relationship developed between Van Gogh and the postman Joseph Roulin, his wife Augustine and their three children in Arles, in the South of France, which would lead to one of the most impressive portrait series in art history.
