Concert Students for Students

Music connects

The 750th anniversary of the city is a great opportunity to connect students in the Netherlands and India through music. Thanks in part to the proceeds of this concert, the students of Future Hope can further develop themselves at the University or University of Applied Sciences. Future Hope

Future Hope is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of hundreds of underprivileged children in Kolkata, India. Through initiatives in the areas of education, sports and housing, Future Hope offers children a home, an education and a future. In the safe environment of Future Hope, these children are given the opportunity to escape the vicious circle of poverty and build a good life.

J. Pzn Sweelinck

The UvA Orchestra J. Pzn Sweelinck was founded in 1878. It is the oldest symphony orchestra in Amsterdam. The orchestra is led by conductor Jurjen Hempel and consists of over seventy students from the Amsterdam Universities, Colleges and the Conservatory.
