Mama's Koelkast, which means Mama's Fridge, helps ambitious women to become independent food entrepreneurs. The company works with over 80 mothers to prepare authentic dishes and family recipes from over 25 cultures. Head to their store in the Jordaan to find several refrigerators with takeaway meals, drinks, snacks, and patisserie. Each fridge is a micro-enterprise with one associated cooking mother. You can choose from 3 to 5 world cuisines daily.

The Swapshop

Preloved clothing store with an exchange system

Bring clothes you no longer wear and get a discount on new items in the form of a certain amount of swaps for each item. The more stylish and wearable the clothes you bring, the more swaps you get. De Prael's craft beer is made by people who struggle to find a job elsewhere. In one of the oldest areas in the city, craft beers can be tasted in the tasting room while enjoying delicious food and snacks. In addition, you can buy De Prael's regular and seasonal beers in the shop around the corner to gift or enjoy at home. Little tip: don't miss out on the brewery and tasting room in the Houthavens, either.

Some artists are affiliated with a care institution or have a psychological disability. You can explore the imaginative inner worlds of these unique artists through unconventional, surprising art.

LENA the fashion library

Borrow or buy clothes

LENA, the first clothing library in the Netherlands, was created in 2014 to make fashion fun for everyone along the supply chain. It has already lent about 25,000 items. LENA's entire collection can be rented or purchased. By borrowing stylish and durable clothes instead of buying fast-fashion items, you can help reduce the fashion industry's negative environmental impact. In LENA's slow-working project, people with burnout get an inspiring place to recover at their own pace.
