Better internet for everyone

Waag Futurelab organizes the event Hyperlink together with PublicSpaces. On this day, you will learn how we can make the internet fairer and safer. You can participate in workshops, make things yourself, and talk about digital rights and privacy. For example, you will learn what happens in data centres, how to recognize fake news using Augmented Reality, and how to set your phone to share less data. You will discover what you can do yourself to be freer online.

The program

You are welcome at Waag Futurelab on the Nieuwmarkt from 14:00. During the day, there are various workshops. Between 16:00 and 19:00, there are short lectures on how we can become less dependent on large tech companies.

Want to go even deeper? The PublicSpaces conference is one day earlier, on Friday, June 13, in Pakhuis de Zwijger. It will include discussions, presentations, and art about the digital world.
