Recently acquired works of art
In this exhibition, the Edams Museum presents recently acquired works of art: purchases, donations and loans with sketches, drawings and objects by the artists Ties van Dijk (1873-1967), Jan Cornelis Bander (1885-1956), Léonie Bander-Lutomirski (1887- 1982) and Wijnand Otto Jan Nieuwenkamp (1874-1954).
The artists were not only fellow citizens, Ties van Dijk was friends with the Bander-Lutomirski couple. His muse Toos Hulst, was the babysitter of their child Guus (Augusta), and they even spent holidays together... the works show the artists at work and their love for drawing their loved ones and models.
