Altin Gün means 'golden day', and that's exactly what the sextet is experiencing. This acclaimed band breathes new life into traditional Turkish folk music with an exceptional mix of psychedelic rock, deep funk, synthpop and cosmic reggae. The result? An irresistible and hypnotic sound. Since their debut album On (2018), Altin Gün has made a splash on the music scene worldwide. A year later, the album Gece earned a Grammy nomination for Best World Music Album.

The band, founded by bassist Jasper Verhulst, draws inspiration from retro-Anatolian records from the sixties and seventies, in which the influence of bands like The Doors and Led Zeppelin can be heard.
