Ahmet Aslan
Turkish musician Ahmet Aslan creates a sound world of timeless beauty in which you can completely immerse yourself. He achieves this partly with his voice, which sounds robust and warm but can also reach high notes in a moving way. He also shines on his own string instrument, the Di-Tar, a cross between a classical guitar, a flamenco guitar and a bağlama (string instrument).
Ahmet Aslan
Ruler of the underworld
Ahmet Aslan is a passionate advocate of the culture of the Zaza, the people on the border between Iran and Turkey. But he is loved throughout Turkey, especially since his music was used in the popular TV crime series Eşkiya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz (Ruler of the Underworld). His success has a Dutch touch, as he developed the Di-Tar at Codarts World Music in Rotterdam.
