Socratic Design Dialogues

For Amsterdam's 750th anniversary, the municipality and the OBA (Amsterdam Public Library) organised conversations with residents about the future. In these so-called Socratic Design dialogues, Amsterdammers thought together about what a good life is and what the city should look like after 1000 years.

You can help further

During the ToekomstTiendaagse (Future Fest), you will continue with the ideas and insights from these conversations. You can contribute to stories or artworks or try out new ideas in the city yourself. In other sessions, you will think about your future and how it connects to the city. At the end of the program, all stories and ideas will be shared with the Amsterdam administrators. You can also participate in a film screening of Socrates in Amsterdam, followed by a discussion about what you and others have seen.
