French pop-surrealist Ciou curates Popland for the fifth time at KochxBos Gallery. During the opening, several artists will be present, grab your chance to meet Alexandra Lukaschewitz, Chuck Sperry, Hazel Ang, Malojo, Peter ter Mors and curator Ciou!

Popland brings together the work of 19 emerging and leading international artists from the vibrant world of the Pop Surrealism movement, a movement that emerged in the late twentieth century and blends the fantastic with the mundane, the playful with the profound.

The works often contain imaginative and playful stories, interwoven with satire and criticism of social, cultural and consumerist themes. Pop Surrealist art often draws from various subcultures and is known for its high level of technical skill and attention to detail.

Like their collectors and fans, the artists come from all corners of the world. This fifth edition is also curated by French artist Ciou. In addition to her own work, there are works on display by artists from Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, Spain, the United States, the Netherlands and Germany, among others.
