From arts and culture to DIY
The Volksuniversiteit (literally: ���people’s university’) is an adult education centre offering more than 700 affordable courses, lectures, excursions and guided tours covering arts, culture, social issues, languages, computers and the media, crafts and DIY. The majority of classes are held in Dutch but the Volksuniversiteit also has more than 100 years experience in teaching Dutch as a foreign language, offering Dutch language courses and workshops for all levels. As well as straightforward language teaching, the courses encompass a close look at society and culture in the Netherlands.
