Merging Archetypes: Exploring Elemental Wisdom in Contemporary Society

In this participatory presentation, we will explore the elements as archetypal technologies that have the potential to unify physical, emotional, and mental knowledge in contemporary society. Drawing on paracelsian alchemy, Jungian psychology, environmental theory, and embodiment practices, we examine the relevance of direct experience as complementary knowledge in shaping our relationships with ourselves, the Other, contemporary technology and our planet at large. We will look at various elemental cosmologies, to understand how these have historically facilitated processes of sense-making and transformation, and how they can help us to include multitudes of knowledge forms when responding to ever more complex systemic societal, economic, and environmental questions.

Cosmology and Elements

This presentation invites the audience to join the conversation and will include alchemy and Jungian psychology to explore social, economic and environmental questions.

The three speakers are Farânak Mirjalili, Georgia Kareola and Annika Kappner.

The doors and café are open from 6:15 PM. The doors close at 7:15 PM. The lecture starts at 7:30 PM. Questions can be asked from 8:30 PM - 9:00 PM. The lecture is in English and can also be followed online. Please make a reservation. Everyone who has a ticket will receive the lecture recording by email within two weeks.
