Festina Lente

Festina Lente on the Looiersgracht is actually more like a cosy living room than a café. The decor is a mishmash of things and they have lots of board games available. There are wood tables, a few comfy lounge chairs and a sweet resident cat. It is the owners’ philosophy that we all take time to enjoy life. Festina Lente means ‘Make haste slowly’ in Latin, and the young crowd here take this to heart. As well as drinks you can also get reasonably priced soup, rolls, apple-pie and Mediterranean dishes.
