Emerging talents
Rough Diamonds 'Round Midnight' means short, free sets after the regular program where you can discover the upcoming talents of the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. This time with Perpetual Bike Crash.
Perpetual Bike Crash is the project of guitarist Francisco Garrido, Micheal Murray on alto sax and Joshua Lutz on piano and keyboards. Their musical input blends seamlessly with each other, and partly due to their background as musicians and producers, they combine that interplay with influences from indie, ambient and film music. Their debut album, The Inside of an Airplane Engine, was written by Garrido, who grew up in a family of photographers. That influence is clearly present in Perpetual Bike Crash, where the music encourages you to go on a visual journey of discovery.
