VULNUS – a naked story
A Body That Speaks
This performance emerges from a research into human sexuality, translated into movement and embodied storytelling. Through the perspective of a woman, an experience unfolds that makes emotions tangible — emotions many have felt in silence or sorrow. The work explores how the body expresses what memory holds: sexuality and its traumas, the weight of generational inheritance, cycles without choice, insecurities, and the judgment of others that becomes internalized. How do these layers affect our emotional and sexual choices? Can we ever truly feel free to be vulnerable?
An Ode to Vulnerability
The piece invites the audience to feel, to observe, and to reflect. It speaks of expectations of strength when the body refuses to comply, of the shame, silence, and fatigue that vulnerability can bring. At the same time, it is an invitation to empathy, awareness, and care: how does (the lack of) sexual education shape our lives, and how do others respond to our choices? In the end, a quiet form of liberation emerges — a woman deciding for herself how to use her body, or not to use it sexually at all. Are you a witness? A part of her story? What role do you take in this narrative?
