Quality optician boutique Oogappel (‘apple of one’s eye’) in the Van Baerlestraat was already firmly established before spectacle frames flaunted bold logos of famous designers. Therefore Oogappel does not have show-off types as clients but rather more subdued people who care for stylishness. The shop, with its parquet floor, chandelier, root wood cabinets and dark green leather chairs, supplies glasses of their own Oogappel brand and labels such as Prada, Tom Ford, Paul Smith and Persol.
