Hinar

Kurdish singer Rewşan Çeliker originally trained as a violinist and has played with the Istanbul Film Music Orchestra, among others. For several years now, she has enjoyed success with her contemporary takes on Kurdish folk songs. Her most recent album, Hinar, features only her own songs for the first time. Hinar (Kurdish for "pomegranate") explores universal themes such as love, hope, despair, and self-acceptance.
