Under the pseudonym Marble Sounds, Pieter Van Dessel scored a veritable Belpop classic with 'Leave A Light On' in 2013. Since then, he has continued to challenge himself musically and has occupied a unique position in the Belgian music scene for years.

With their fifth, untitled album – known for singles like "Quiet" and "Axolotl" – no live audience was left unmoved by Marble Sounds' lushly orchestrated indie pop. Their sixth album, "Core Memory," released in early 2025, sees Van Dessel take a new musical turn. Piano and strings make way for a fuller, almost electronic, and pure pop sound with synths infused with the spirit of Giorgio Moroder. First single, "An Emotional High," puts us in a summer mood with sparkling, feel-good indie pop.
