For the 60th time, a festive Christmas Eve service will be held at the Concertgebouw. The beautiful Christmas carols, the hopeful Bible story, and the inspiring words make this service in the Main Hall a warm celebration for all ages. A wonderful tradition 60 years old, yet still relevant and surprising!

A warm party for young and old

The atmospheric Christmas Eve service immerses attendees in the Christmas story. Led by Benjamin Bakker and featuring a wide range of musicians, beautiful Christmas carols will be performed, from familiar to surprising, from classic to new. "Music brings you to the heart of the Christmas story, both soothing and joyful." There will be time for communal singing, about light in the darkness, about peace and hope.

Reflection

Christmas is also a time for reflection. We read the Christmas story from the Bible, and Reverend Taco Koster of the Sunday Evening Church (also called Services with Interested Parties) will share an encouraging story. Christmas is more meaningful than ever.
