Hotel Okura Amsterdam introduces Ciel Bleu Events: a Michelin-Star gastronomical experience for meetings and events

Updated 12 September 2025 at 09:58
Hotel Okura Amsterdam has launched Ciel Bleu Events, a new concept that brings the two-Michelin-starred cuisine of Ciel Bleu Restaurant to groups of 120-400 guests. Hosted in the Grand Ballroom, the initiative offers meeting and event organisers the possibility to combine large-scale gatherings with a fine-dining experience.

What is Ciel Bleu Events?

Earlier this month, Ciel Bleu Restaurant at Hotel Okura Amsterdam launched Ciel Bleu Events, bringing its two-Michelin-starred cuisine to groups of up to 400 guests. In the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Okura, participants are served a five-course menu with two signature bites, prepared to the same standards as the restaurant kitchen.

The initiative is led by VH Master Chef and Executive Chef Arjan Speelman, who describes the project as requiring “an unprecedented level of precision, logistics, and teamwork.” The concept shows how high-level gastronomy can be adapted to larger groups while maintaining quality and consistency.

What can planners expect?

Ciel Bleu Events offers meeting and business event organisers the chance to add a high-level dining experience to their programme. Designed as a dinner or side event alongside conferences and meetings, it can accommodate 120 to 400 guests in the Grand Ballroom of Hotel Okura.

Service follows the Japanese principle of Omotenashi – a style of hospitality focused on making guests feel genuinely welcome.

Companies and event organisers can contact Hotel Okura for more information.
