TNW Conference

Billed as ‘the heart of tech’, TNW combines unquestionable authority in all things tech with the spirit of a festival, making this long-running conference an eternal favourite in Amsterdam and far beyond. Its visitors, many of which return faithfully year after year, can attend dozens of workshops, keynotes and panel sessions, rubbing shoulders with international tech executives, venture capitalists, policy and opinionmakers and other major players in the process.

Amsterdam Capital House

This annual event, a partner of StartupAmsterdam, means that for one week each year, Amsterdam becomes the capital of capital. Focusing on connecting various types of capital with early-stage startups and fast-growing scale-ups, Amsterdam Capital House is instrumental in facilitating business growth in the city and further afield.

Money 20/20 Europe

Leading figures of finance and FinTech come together in Amsterdam for Money 20/20 Europe, which aims to be no less than ‘the place where the conversation happens’. Global leaders are joined by new challengers for a plethora of events, designed to drive fresh ideas, innovative strategies and new partnerships. There is a definite focus on providing a lasting experience, too – this is no industry snoozefest.


Previously known as the International Broadcasting Convention, this annual show for media, entertainment and technology is an industry staple and has had its home in Amsterdam since 1992. Tens of thousands of media professionals from around the globe flock to Amsterdam to attend IBC’s jam-packed programme of speeches, presentations, demonstrations, screenings, product launches and insights into the latest technologies.

World Summit AI

One of the essential events of the sector, the World Summit AI gathers the main driving forces of AI: international businesses, investors, startups and data scientists. The programme features plenary sessions, keynotes, table talks, masterclasses and workshops, as well as one-to-one meetings.

The Self-Made Summit

Connecting female starters, entrepreneurs, investors and professionals with each other and with knowledge, capital and network, the Self-Made Summit (website in Dutch) is a crucial part of the Amsterdam ecosystem’s efforts to effect more gender diversity in tech and business.

Emerce EDAY

Amsterdam’s Emerce EDAY aims for a festival vibe and focuses on marketing, brands and commerce. Bringing together international and local companies in the tech, marketing and media sectors, the event offers a range of workshops, conferences, walk-ins, and social and networking events.
