Legal tech experts Reynen Court snags €3.8 million with the help of top law firms

Aspiring to be a centralised app store for legal tech vendors, the Dutch-American company Reynen Court received €3.8 million in a financing round led by global venture capital fund Ventech and joined by law firms Clifford Chance and Latham & Watkins, and investment company Prins. Backed by a consortium of 19 prominent law offices, Reynen Court offers cloud-based (and often AI-powered) tools for lawyers which can be installed on phones and computers. The money is earmarked to accelerate growth. 

CodeSandbox raises €10.75 million for more “collaborative sandboxes” 

Rapid web development platform CodeSandbox raised €10.75 million in a Series A funding round led by EQT Ventures fund. CodeSandbox allows teams to quickly prototype, build and host web apps. With the investment, the company will launch its new product, Pro Workspaces, and scale its remote-first development team. Founded in 2017 by former Facebook developer Ives van Hoorne (CEO) and industrial designer Bas Buursma (COO), CodeSandbox is used by more than 2.5 million developers.

Independent beauty platform We are Eves brushes together €1.5 million

Investors Tablomonto and HearstLab have set aside €1.5 million to help beauty platform We Are Eves to go international with its “100% honest beauty product reviews”. The platform offers consumers the opportunity to discover new products without censorship or hidden advertising. In October 2020 alone, its users increased by nearly a third. 

Kartesia pumps €75 million of growth equity into HR company Headfirst

With an annual turnover of more than €1 billion, the Hoofddorp-based Headfirst Group is the Netherlands’ second-largest provider of flexible talent solutions. The French private equity firm Kartesia has now taken a €75 million stake in the company, which will be used to accelerate growth beyond Europe. Headfirst Group also plans to expand its consulting services for procurement, tender management and contracting advisory services.
