A spacious home in the centre of Amsterdam

Video game developer Guerrilla Games, the studio behind the successful Killzone and Horizon Zero Dawn series – is moving into a new office in central Amsterdam. Located on the Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal, the building is the former home of Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.

The new office stretches over five floors, offering roughly 7,300 square metres of room. Guerrilla Games plans to move in during the beginning of 2021, and will fully customise the space, transforming it into the company’s headquarters.

Currently, Guerrilla Games has around 250 employees, but hopes to increase this number to 400. Hiring additional staff will help the company release new titles at an accelerated pace.

Creating one of the world’s most successful game companies

Speaking about the move when it was first planned, CEO Hermen Hulst told Het Parool: “After Horizon: Zero Dawn, we are accelerating, the best talents are coming to us… but we also need more space for our sound and motion tracking studios. We want to release games in the two or three years, both new titles and games based on existing titles,” adding that the building will play an important role in his goal of becoming the best video game company in the world.
