Just like a hackathon, but different
Amsterdam-based venture-capitalist organisation Peak Capital has organised a fundathon for five selected startups to improve their growth with the help of experienced entrepreneurs and investors. Held in Den Bosch, the funding marathon will focus on growth hacking, internationalisation and recruitment.
At the one-day event, participating startups will pitch their business plans to investors and work with venture capitalists to further develop their proposals. At the end of the event, companies will present their improved plans. The winner will receive a whopping €100,000 in funding. Needless to say, this is an invaluable funding opportunity for any startup – established or not.

An innovative funding new event
Johan van Mil, head of venture at Peak Capital, got the idea for the event from the hackathons that are regularly held in the startup world, in which software developers expand an idea into a working concept in 24 hours. Instead, his event involves the whole company.
“Fundathons such as this one are very rare, which is why we thought it would be a good idea to set it up,” says Van Mil. “We want to help out tech startups.”
Participating companies must be tech startups established in the Netherlands by a multi-founder team and are already making revenue.
To participate, apply before 28 May.
