Growth Tribe launches three new academies
Dutch scale-up Growth Tribe is opening three new academies in cities around Europe. The digital skills trainer, which offers courses in AI for marketing, growth hacking and blockchain, is beginning city services in Sweden, Finland and Denmark this month. Despite launching just two years ago, Growth Tribe has grown rapidly, training more than 700 companies and 4,000 people at its base in Amsterdam and academy in London. Growth Academy’s plan is to expand to seven European countries by 2020.
Growth Tribe claims that companies in Europe are falling behind those in the US and China in digital leadership, tech knowledge and digital innovation, and say that their expansion plans hope to curb this trend. Growth Tribe’s CEO, Peter van Sabben, said: “We are ready to start spreading the latest digital skills in Europe. Educating people about digital innovations and AI is crucial if we want to catch up with China and the US.”
A new type of training in Amsterdam and Europe
Growth Tribe offers practical and hands-on courses that help people to rapidly acquire specific digital skills and that can enable companies to grow faster. “Universities build a curriculum and change it every three to four years, online courses build a curriculum and update it yearly. We update our training every two weeks,” explained Van Sabben. "We developed a course that is a mix of project-based assignments and skill-oriented content. Three teachers are constantly in the classroom facilitating and educating 25 students. This is how we set the bar for modern education.”
