Delta Electronics announces EMEA expansion in the Amsterdam Area
Who is Delta Electronics and what do they do?
Founded in 1971, Delta Electronics (commonly referred to as DELTA) is a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer specialising in electronic components and contributing to the global energy transition. Headquartered in Taipei, it operates around 200 sites worldwide with over 87,000 employees and annual revenues of more than €8 billion.
The company will establish a cutting-edge facility at Park 20|20 in Hoofddorp, the world’s first cradle-to-cradle business park. The new headquarters is being developed as a net-zero energy building, with ambitions to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification, one of the highest sustainability standards in the built environment. The investment will house lab, research and development, office, and international showroom spaces, reflecting Delta’s long-term commitment to the Netherlands and the wider region.
What does this mean for the Amsterdam Area?
This news reinforces the Amsterdam region’s position as a leading European hub for cleantech and energy transition innovation. Delta Electronics’ decision to expand headquarters not only brings cutting-edge R&D and sustainable technologies to Haarlemmermeer, but also creates new opportunities for collaboration across the region’s energy, ICT, and smart infrastructure sectors.
The investment strengthens local ambitions to build a future-proof economy and supports the development of scalable solutions to pressing climate and energy challenges. At the same time, it deepens the Amsterdam Area’s global connections in the rapidly expanding clean energy market.
The announcement is the result of a close partnership between the Municipality of Haarlemmermeer, Amsterdam Trade & Invest, the Netherlands Foreign Investment Agency (NFIA), G&S&, and Park 20|20. Together with Delta, these partners are supporting the development of a resilient and future-oriented local economy.
