Amsterdam’s Seenons earns B Corp certification
Seenons to strengthen its mission for a more circular economy
Amsterdam-based Seenons, the independent European platform driving smarter, more sustainable waste management, has officially become a Certified B Corporation. This certification recognises companies that balance profit with purpose, meeting high standards of social, environmental, and governance impact.
Seenons connects businesses, transporters, processors, and reusers across five countries to reduce waste, lower CO₂ emissions, and maximise resource reuse. The company achieved a score of 107 in the rigorous B Impact Assessment, excelling particularly in resource conservation.
The B Corp certification, granted by non-profit B Lab, evaluates businesses across five categories: governance, workers, community, environment, and customers. Seenons’ recognition confirms its leadership in transforming waste from a problem into opportunity and committing to continuous improvement. Seenons will be reassessed every three years to retain its certification, a reflection of its long-term commitment to transparency, sustainability, and system-wide change.
The circular community in Amsterdam
Amsterdam is home to a vibrant ecosystem of companies advancing sustainable waste management and circular economy practices. Seenons joins a growing community of B Corp-certified businesses based in the city. These include Closing the Loop, which helps the tech industry consume electronics more sustainably, and Impact Hub Amsterdam, which supports entrepreneurs and organisations in scaling sustainable innovations through its accelerator programmes.
