• Deedmob - Provides a platform to discover nearby volunteering opportunities for various causes, including environment, health, people with disabilities, animals, youth and education, and refugees. With 12.5k+ organisations using Deedmob and over 75k first-time volunteers on the platform, there is a volunteering match for everyone.

• NL Cares - Helps companies make an impact through purpose-driven volunteer programmes from baking and gardening to packing food bank deliveries. Search by city, date, impact and theme. You can sign your company up for a ‘large scale volunteer event’ such as kids' sports days or the winter wonderland event for the elderly. 

• TKRAMREPUS - Is a shop that accepts food donations and then delivers them to people in need. To tackle poverty and food shortages, people can donate products to the 'supermarket'. Volunteers can run the shop for a day or create a fundraising campaign. 

• NLvoorelkaar - Is the biggest volunteer platform in the Netherlands. Explore volunteering options in your neighbourhood and beyond. Find projects like food kitchens in refugee centres, packing birthday parcels for kids in need, and organising fundraisers for KIKA (Children’s Cancer) or a charity of your choice.

• Vrijwilligers Centrale Amsterdam (VCA) - If you are looking for a team activity, then look no further, VCA is the main hub for volunteer work in the city and has information per district. They put people who want to do voluntary work in Amsterdam in contact with volunteer organisations for all different purposes, including cooking for the elderly or coaching a kids’ sports team. They have options for one-time volunteering with your team at NLCares, Adam Helps or Cordaan, as well as more long-term structural volunteering plans for your company.

• Stichting Present - This company connects people who want to do voluntary work in Amsterdam with volunteer organisations for all kinds of different purposes, including cooking for the elderly or coaching a sports team to grow even closer together as a team or organisation through group work. 

• Voedselbanken - Distributes food to those in need all over the Netherlands. Companies can support with donations and fundraisers, food or volunteers.

Volunteer for environmental initiatives

• Serve the City -  Organise corporate volunteering activities and impact days for companies. Creating events that mobilise volunteers to serve in simple ways – like weekly clean-ups in Vondelpark and other events in sports, music, arts and crafts, meals, friendship and more.

• Plastic Whale - Welcomes volunteers to go ‘plastic fishing’ and gather plastic from Amsterdam's canals. Companies can also volunteer for beach clean-up days. Plastic Whale then builds office furniture and skateboards made from the discarded plastic collected together for plastic-free land and sea. The fishing boats themselves are also made from plastic waste.

• Bloei & Groei - Plant and maintain shared gardens to create beautiful green city spaces. This way, neighbours can come together to connect, be outside in nature, and grow vegetables, fruit, colourful flowers, and medicinal herbs. Grab a group of colleagues and help create a greener Amsterdam.

• The Pollinators - Ask individuals, communities, and businesses to get their hands dirty and get involved in low-key, fun activities like planting and sowing days. The main objective is to restore nature and biodiversity by helping bees and other pollinators thrive. Knowledge and practical tools are provided to effectively restore biodiversity, as well as workshops. Donations and buying products from the webshop are also welcome.

• Natuur&Milieu Zuid - Aim to make the city more green and sustainable by involving the community and connecting residents via their Nature & Environment Market or growing and maintaining a vegetable garden. Get a group together and start creating some more greenery in the city.
