The Ethical Agency Summit 2024

Purpose-driven advertising, PR, and marketing industry leaders will convene in Amsterdam on June 06, 2024 for the first Ethical Agency Summit organised by the non-profit Creatives for Climate

The event will showcase a variety of C-suite executives from agencies, climate organisations and brands across the UK and Europe, including Ireland, Denmark, the Netherlands, and more. Frontrunners will highlight industry challenges and share insights on how businesses can drive ethical behaviour, with the aim of enabling the wider industry to adopt these learnings and drive positive change. 

Discussions will cover the industry's ethical dilemmas, current regulation and accreditation standards, scaling and developing new agency models, and a vision of more positive industry-driving solutions. Creatives for Climate will also gather responses for a new survey at the summit, which aims to report on knowledge gaps the industry can harness to become more responsible.

As the climate crisis escalates, the advertising and PR industries remain closely intertwined with the world's most polluting sectors. In 2022, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres shone a spotlight on "the massive public relations machine raking in billions to shield the fossil fuel industry from scrutiny" and likened the industry's involvement in fossil fuels to its work for the tobacco industry decades earlier.
