Big Party on the Ring A10
Saturday, 21 June 2025, the longest day of the year, marks the celebration of Amsterdam's 750th birthday on a 15-kilometer car-free Ring A10. Join the festivities with music, sports, theater, dance, and much more.
Big Party on the Ring A10
Big bigger Biggest
The idea for a large and freely accessible celebration on the Ring was conceived ten years ago by a group of more than 100 Amsterdam residents, united under the name 'Amsterdam on its way to 750 years'. The Municipality of Amsterdam will further develop the event in the coming year with, among others, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, Rijkswaterstaat, safety and transport partners creative organizations, sports clubs and cultural institutions from the city.
How do they do it?
On Friday evening, 20 June 2025, after rush hour, the Ring West, South, and East (between the exit to the A5 and the exit to the A1) will be closed. One direction will be available for the event, while the other direction will remain open for emergency services. On 21 June, the longest day of the year, the highway will be the venue for celebrating visitors throughout the day and evening. On Sunday, we will dismantle and clean up, and the Ring will reopen before the Monday morning rush hour.
Amsterdam 750
On 27 October 2025, Amsterdam marks its 750th anniversary, initiating a year-long jubilee. The celebrations commence on 27 October 2024, launching a year filled with activities for all residents of Amsterdam.
