The oeuvre of black and white prints, brush drawings and lettering

In the cold winter of 1962, De Rijp gained a heart-warming resident. Lense converted a small house on the Zuiddijk into a nice studio home. In 1978 he repeated this with the coal shed at Kerkstraat 30, before purchasing the bell jar farm from neighbor Bark across the street in 1981 and transforming it into a nice workplace. Galerie de Drukstal was built where the cows once stood.

He continued to build on his oeuvre of black and white prints, brush drawings and lettering at all three locations. In addition to this free work, Lense leaves behind a trail of beautiful and special works he made on commission. There is plenty to prove this in De Rijp and the surrounding area alone. Museum 't Houtenhuis is devoting an exhibition to this, which can be seen from January 28.

We see how he designed the milestones in human life: birth, wedding and funeral cards, first and last stones, for the nursery yard, the new house or the final resting place. He created certificates for important achievements, logos for companies and institutions, designed books, and much more.
