Amsterdam Science Park
Amsterdam Science Park is located on the eastern side of Amsterdam. The complex combines science with working and living space, covering an area of 70 hectares, which is the size of 98 football pitches.
International knowledge complex
Amsterdam Science Park specializes in IT and life sciences and is home to several prominent research institutes as well as the Faculty of Science, Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Amsterdam (UvA). It concerns an international knowledge complex, where intensive collaboration between academic education, research and knowledge-intensive activities is strongly encouraged. The park is a collaboration between the University of Amsterdam, the Municipality of Amsterdam and the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO).
Business park
More than 120 companies are located in Amsterdam Science Park, including Amsterdam Internet Exchange (AMS-IX), Equinix, IMOTIONS and Telecity. Every year new offices, research institutions and new tenants are added here.
