Hotel & Restaurant de Fortuna is a three star hotel, consisting of five restored, 17th century canal houses, built around a quiet and leafy terrace garden on the waterfront. The hotel is in Edam, located near many places of interest.
Situation There are many parking possibilities and good public transport connections to Amsterdam Central Station and surrounding villages such as Volendam and Purmerend. Edam is about 12 miles from the centre of Amsterdam. Rooms The hotel has 23 comfortable rooms. All the rooms have their own toilet, bath and/or shower, but also with cable television (30 channels), telephone with a direct outside line, a well-stocked minibar and hairdryer. The rooms have comfortable, pine furniture and pleasant box-spring beds with high-quality mattresses. Hand-made patchwork bedspreads adorn the beds. Restaurant Restaurant "De Fortuna" has a varied selection of meat, fish, poultry and game specialities. All the dishes are cooked in the traditional way with the finest ingredients which the various seasons have to offer.
