Maya has a proven track record in creating new strategies and plans for sustainable destination marketing and development. Being a professional in the public-private domain, she creates innovative and effective solutions for complex challenges in a dynamic environment. Striving for long-term valuable partnerships to gain results. She has a background in leisure, tourism, hospitality, (international) businesses, meeting industry and hospitality, with an extensive knowledge of research, branding, marketing, data & technology.             During her work at amsterdam&partners she plays an active role in connecting and guiding the organization, partners and community toward a sustainable and inclusive city and Metropolitan region. Starting with the vision ‘Redesign’ visitor economy 2025 https://www.iamsterdam.com/en/amsterdam-and-partners/sustainable-visitor-economy  A long-term strategy for a redesign of a social, ecological, and economic sustainable visitor economy with key recommendations for a balanced regenerative city where visitors, companies, conferences, and talent are welcome if they add value to the city and do not cause any disturbance or disruption. She is currently working on the defined main pillars for a regenerative approach with several programs aimed at residents, businesses and visitors to Amsterdam and the Metropolitan Area of Amsterdam. This includes “constructing a new image” and the process of reshaping the story of the city brand in co-creation with stakeholders, but also improving the quality of life for residents, stimulating regenerative thinking among businesses, and making sustainable choices among consumers.   

She represents the city of Amsterdam on the board of City Destinations Alliance, a European knowledge-sharing alliance for cities and urban regions. Members are Tourist Boards, Convention Bureaus, and City Marketing Organizations. Also, active in many other national and international knowledge networks.

Rate

  • The rate for speaking at an event in the Netherlands is approximately €1,800* (preparation 4 hours + speaker allowance + half travel day)
  • The rate for speaking at an event abroad is approximately €2,880* (preparation 4 hours + speaker allowance + travel day (+ 50% foreign surcharge on entire amount)
  • Daily speaker allowance: €960
  • Daily travel allowance: €480

*Travel and accommodation costs must be reimbursed by the organizing party.
