Le Bateau (The Whale)
Discover the enchanting world of 'The Whale' during the Le Bateau Gathering events. The project, led by the Duo Le Bateau, brings local residents together in the Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof to build upcycled boats. This participatory initiative focuses on inclusivity, focusing on women and the LGBTQIA+ community.

Le Bateau (The Whale)
Founded by Laëtitia Delauney and Aurélia Noudelmann, Le Bateau promises a series of events running until July 2024. All this is supported by the Stimulering Fonds Talent Program and the Amsterdam 750 Fund. The program offers diverse activities, including the 'Dream Boats & Cleats' Workshop, an engaging documentary "Fight with Care" by Qurratul Ain and a culinary steam dinner provided by Sankrit Kulmanochawong.
Be part of a unique project that combines art, design and community. Come together, learn and help build an inclusive future at the beautiful location of the Buurtwerkplaats Noorderhof. You can register for the next workshop every week via this link and join Le Bateau to build a beautiful whale boat.
Boat Meetings
Besides the shipyard, there are also monthly 'boat meetings', where artists and researchers are invited to give workshops and lectures about water-related issues and thoughts. Each event includes food, workshops, and free festivities for everyone.
